Wow, 2025 has been…interesting, to say the least, right?
That’s a massive understatement. I am glad I haven't written here since the beginning of the year because, BAYBEE, I have so many things I could have said and didn’t.
I am tired of being like that.

I am going to keep that going.

I am officially kicking off my villain era.
I have been writing audio erotica scripts with a great group of women and femmes, calling ourselves the Black Quinngressional Caucus. The great thing about community is that you can bring out the best in one another, and I am so thankful to our group of smart, talented, and fierce baddies and their work.
So far, the crew has been putting in so much work and it’s been paying off — slow and steady wins the race, right?
It DOES, but progress is even slower when groups like the BQC are good, talented swimmers in a moderately sized pond with other folks who are clearly, and I mean CLEARLY, jumping on the backs of others who can swim well and saving themselves from drowning. These are the same people creating whisper campaigns against this group and its allies in a way that is impacting their work and desires to be in a space that should be inclusive.
I would love to say I am not tired of fighting. I would love that. But I am tired. I am tired of fighting to be nice when I want to be aggressive. But I can’t be aggressive either. I can hardly be assertive when it comes to bad actors in spaces who are so afraid of letting others have a seat at the table.
In my villain era, I am building my own table.
